ALEXANDRA DRAXLER Alexandra Draxler is Director of the Task Force on Education for the Twenty-first Century (UNESCO). From 1993 to 1996 she served as Secretary of the International Commission on Education for the Twenty-first Century (chaired by Jacques Delors), whose report "Learning: The Treasure Within" was delivered to UNESCO in 1996 and has been published in twenty-two languages. She studied at the University of North Carolina (U.S.A.) and worked for the University of Cornell (New York, U.S.A.) and the Deutsches Institut für Fernstudien at the University of Tübingen (Germany) before joining UNESCO as an education specialist in 1971.
